Fine Art Documentation Questions

This Post will be for Comments and questions regarding the verbage and styles of documentation for selling fine art photography.

  1. When you refer to "Documentation" what do you mean?

    What documentation is required/suggested for fine art digital prints?

    I'm having a show in June of my photography of stringed instruments, and am trying to learn what's up before I get in trouble ;-)

  2. I'm referring to a "Certificate of Authenticity", a Press Release, Title Card (which is in place of a Certificate on non-limited edition pieces), Rack Cards, sales invoice, Biography, etc.

  3. I can just create all that myself, can't I? The venue is handling the sales paperwork (if any), and I will create my own "Artist's Statement/Bio."

    What does a typical limited edition "Certificate of Authenticity" look like/say?

  4. That's the point - what the verbage is on these docs and what they look like. I have shots of what they look like in the book, if you're interested.
